The Department of Zoology, Govt Girls Postgraduate College, Quetta Cantt, successfully conducted the thesis defense for the BS (Session 2021–2025) on November 8, 2025. The event marked an important academic milestone for the department and showcased the dedication and research excellence of its graduating students.

The external examiner for the defense was Dr. Ghulam Dastagir, Head of the Department of Zoology, University of Baluchistan. A total of twelve students from the 8th semester confidently presented their research work, reflecting their strong academic foundation, keen interest in scientific inquiry, and the valuable guidance of their respective supervisors.

The proceedings were conducted under the supervision of Prof. Shabana Wali, Head of the Department of Zoology, whose efforts in organizing and strengthening the research framework within the department were widely acknowledged.

Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi graced the occasion and highly appreciated the research quality and professional presentation of the students. She commended the department’s commitment to promoting a culture of scientific research and congratulated both the students and faculty for their achievements.
