Successful Thesis Defense of Sociology Department (Session 2021–2025)
By the grace of Almighty Allah, the Department of Sociology successfully conducted the 8th Semester Defence Viva for the BS Sociology Session 2021–2025, consisting of a total of 25 students. The event marked the conclusion of their academic journey, reflecting their dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm throughout the four years of study. The defence viva was held on 23rd October 2025 with the kind permission and continuous support of the Principal, Madam Sadia Farooqi. The students were divided into groups and guided by respected supervisors. Miss Nosheen Naseer, Miss Amna Kakar, and Miss Saima Aman each supervised five students, while Miss Runa Tareen supervised ten students, and all supervisors diligently guided their respective groups throughout the research process and viva preparation. The Viva Examiner, Miss Faiza Safdar, Chairperson, Department of Sociology, University of Balochistan, graciously attended the session to conduct the viva examinations. The event was also honored by the presence of Miss Farah Khan, Head of the Department of Sociology, Government Girls Postgraduate Degree College, Quetta Cantt. Both appreciated the students’ efforts and expressed their deep satisfaction upon witnessing their performance, research work, and confidence. Special recognition is extended to Coordinator Ms. Gulnaz Rasheed, Vice Principal Professor Dr. Humaira Sadozai, and Vice Principal Ms. Razia Shahi for their valuable roles and continuous support throughout the event. Furthermore, Examination Controller Ms. Uzma Aziz from the Examination Cell, along with Ms. Sadaf and Ms. Aroosa from QAC, also graced the occasion with their presence and motivated the students through their kind words and appreciation. Alhamdulillah, the entire defence viva was conducted smoothly and successfully, leaving both faculty and students highly satisfied with the outcome. The event served as a proud moment for the Department of Sociology and a reflection of the collective hard work of students and teachers alike.
