Stand up, speak out, and eradicate Corruption(International Anti-Corruption Day)
To mark International Anti-Corruption Day, Government Girls Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt once again demonstrated its leadership in fostering talent and unity, successfully hosting a series of provincial-level competitions The event was organized by the Directorate of Colleges and Higher Education Balochistan in collaboration with the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan.
The competitions saw enthusiastic participation from students across all eight divisions of the province, who competed in six distinct categories:
1. English Essay Writing
2. Urdu Essay Writing
3. English Speech
4. Urdu Speech
5. Poster Design
6. Short Film Making
In a remarkable achievement, Nazish Mustafa, daughter of Ghulam Mustafa , a student of BS English (4th Semester) from Government Girls Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt, secured the First Position in the provincial-level English Speech Competition.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests. Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani , Minister of Education Balochistan, chaired the event as the chief guest. She was accompanied by the Guest of Honour, Mr. Imran Akhtar Majeed,Additional Director of NAB Balochistan. Other notable attendees included Prof. Muhammad Hussain Baloch, Director of Colleges and Higher Education Balochistan; Prof. Saeeda Niaz, Joint Director of Colleges and Higher Education Balochistan; worthy Principals of various colleges, District Monitoring Officers (DMOs), faculty members, and participants.
In her address, Education Minister Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani commended the students from across Balochistan for their active participation. She emphasized the pivotal role of education as a fundamental tool to eradicate corruption from society.
Prof. Sadia Farooqi , Principal of Government Girls Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt, also addressed the gathering. She applauded the participating students and underscored the need to end malpractices like cheating. She encouraged students to cultivate a culture of self-accountability and integrity.
Concluding the event, Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi extended her heartfelt congratulations to Nazish Mustafa for her outstanding achievement. She also expressed her gratitude and appreciation for the dedicated faculty members whose hard work and commitment were instrumental in making the event a resounding success.
