A Momentous Step Towards Educational Development
It was an honor for Government Girls Postgraduate College, Quetta Cantt, to host the prestigious ceremony for the provision of three buses and one wagon to the University of Turbat, graciously handed over by the Honorable Minister of Education, Balochistan, Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani. The event, held at our esteemed institution, marked another milestone in the government’s commitment to enhancing educational facilities for students across the province.
Under the directives of the Director of Colleges, Higher & Technical Education, Balochistan Prof Ghullam Hussain Baloch, the ceremony was meticulously organized by the college administration, led by Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi
The occasion was graced by distinguished guests, including Chief Guest, Ms. Rahila Hameed Khan Durrani, Minister of Education, Balochistan , Vice-Chancellor, University of Turbat, Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan Baloch, Director Colleges, Higher & Technical Education, Balochistan, Prof. Ghulam Hussain Baloch, staff of Directorate colleges, Faculty members, administrative staff, and students of the host college.
In her address, Minister Rahila Durrani emphasized the government’s dedication to improving student welfare and ensuring accessible education. She lauded the efforts of Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi and the college’s role in supporting educational initiatives. The minister also made a promising announcement regarding the provision of buses for Government Girls Postgraduate College, Quetta Cantt, reaffirming her trust in the institution’s leadership.
Prof. Dr. Gul Hassan, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Turbat, expressed gratitude for the generous support, highlighting how these vehicles will significantly ease transportation challenges for students.
Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi extended heartfelt thanks to the organizing committees including department of English, sitting arrangement committee and Tea committee, along with faculty, and students for their efforts in ensuring the ceremony’s success.
The event concluded with a tea reception for guests and media personnel. This ceremony not only strengthened institutional ties but also reinforced the belief that collective efforts pave the way for a brighter future in Balochistan’s education sector.
