Government Girls Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt Welcomes the BS Class of 2028

On November 11, 2025 , Government Girls Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt officially rolled out the red carpet for its 9th BS Batch, Session 2025-2028, in a vibrant and inspiring orientation ceremony held today.
 
The event was attended by the enthusiastic new cohort of students from all departments, who were joined by their respective Heads of Departments (HoDs) and faculty members.
 
The ceremony was chaired by the Principal, Prof. Sadia Farooqi. The program commenced on a solemn note with the recitation of Holy Quran, followed by the stirring rendition of the National Anthem.
 
A moment of great pride was witnessed when Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi presented a shield of honor to Ms. Nazish Mustafa, the winner of the NAB Divisional Level Speech Competition. Celebrating this outstanding achievement, Prof. Farooqi encouraged all students to actively participate in co-curricular activities, emphasizing their vital role in shaping well-rounded and confident individuals.
 
In her address to the new batch, Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi warmly welcomed the students. She shared insights into her own academic journey, the illustrious history of the college, and the remarkable achievements garnered under her leadership. Her speech was aimed at motivating the new students to strive for excellence and become the future shining stars of the nation.
 
The new batch also had the opportunity to interact with the Vice Principals, Prof. Dr. Humera Sadozai and Prof. Razia Muhammad Shahi, who extended their welcome and support.
 
Prof. Dr. Gulnaz Rasheed, the Coordinator of the BS Program, provided a comprehensive overview, explaining the essential rules, curriculum structure, and necessities of the BS Program to guide the students through their academic journey.
 
Further, Prof. Uzma Aziz, the Controller of Examinations, emphasized the critical role of academic marks and assured the students of the administration’s unwavering commitment to transparency and fairness in the examination system.
 
The orientation served as a complete and informative guide for the newcomers, helping them acclimate to their new academic environment.
