A vibrant flag-hoisting ceremony was held on 14th August 2025 at Government Girls Postgraduate College, Quetta Cantt., to celebrate Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day.
The event was a true reflection of unity, harmony, and patriotism, bringing together the entire college community.
Under the dynamic leadership of Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi, faculty members, clerical and administrative staff, and Class IV employees participated enthusiastically in the celebrations.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the Pakistan flag, which was adorned with rose petals, symbolizing love for the nation.
As the flag soared high, green and white balloons were released into the sky, creating a mesmerizing spectacle.
The gathering then resonated with the soul-stirring notes of the National Anthem, filling the air with pride.
The staff showcased their patriotism by singing melodious national songs, further enhancing the spirit of the day. The atmosphere was imbued with دل دل پاکستان and سوھنی دھرتی, creating a fragrant sense of devotion and love for the country.
To honour the participants, Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi arranged a lavish refreshment for all staff members, including administrative and Class IV employees. In her address, she applauded the collective efforts of the college community and emphasized the importance of harmony, unity, and dedication.
She also highlighted the role of every individual in nation-building, urging everyone to contribute towards the progress and prosperity of Pakistan. The event concluded with passionate chants of “Pakistan Zindabad!” echoing throughout the campus and reinforcing the endless love for the homeland
