Government Girls Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt. Situated in the heart of city, adorned with lush green lawns tall pine trees stands as a historic landmark and the oldest institution dedicated to women’s education in the heart of the city. Since its establishment in 1952, this prestigious college has been a beacon of knowledge, shaping the futures of female students from across Balochistan for over seven decades. It was the first institution to illuminate the educational landscape of the province, empowering countless women and transforming lives.
Over the years, the college has produced distinguished alumni who have excelled in various fields, making significant contributions both nationally and internationally. The institution has been fortunate to have visionary and dedicated principals whose leadership has played a pivotal role in its growth and excellence.
Since 2016,College is offering BS Programme,and recently 16 disciplines are working successfully.
As the only women’s college in Balochistan offering a diverse range of facilities, it provides students with access to a well-equipped gymnasium, a vast library housing 40,000 books, a digital lab,video conference hall,a state-of-the-art auditorium, which is soon going to be turned into first ever smart auditoruim in the province, a fully functional college hostel, and sports grounds for hockey and netball. Additionally, it features a baby care center, a cafeteria, stationary, computer department, Sofia Ahmed computer lab, spacious and well-ventilated lecture halls, and a dedicated sick room to ensure students’ well-being. Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt, has initiated projects of Freelancing by name of Digibizz the initiative of Government of Balochistan and IT department since 2022, NAVTTC is another vocational program is initiated at College the Prime Minister’s program to make the youth skillful.
With a current enrollment of over 5,000 intermediate and approximately 2,000 BS students, the college prides itself on its highly qualified and committed faculty, who continuously strive to uphold academic excellence and holistic development.

Our Values
Code of Conduct
- 75% of student attendance is mandatory, other wise admission would be cancelled. Moreover 10 days continuous absence, student name would be struck off from college.
- Provide paid fee slip to every subject teacher on very first day in class positively.
- College timing should be strictly observed, late comers would be fined Rs.20.
- Proper college uniform should be observed, makeup & jewelry is not allowed.
- Students must wear their college I.D cards during college timing for their identity.
- Misconduct towards any teacher or college staff or any indisciplinary actions would lead to struck off.
- Mobile phones, camera, FM or any other such devices are strictly prohibited.
- Party celebrations are not allowed in college. Don’t take eating item from canteen to classrooms.
- Maintain the cleanliness, discipline and peace in college.
- No visitor is allowed to enter in college with student.
- Any damage to college property would be fined.
- Students should take special care of the cleanliness,discipline and peace of the college.
- According to the affidavit, no protest or rally is allowed in the college. Students involved in such activities will be dismissed from the college without any delay.
Note: In case of violation of rules strict action will be taken.
