78th Independence Day Celebration at Government Girls Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt

The 78th Independence Day of Pakistan , 14th August was commemorated with great enthusiasm and national spirit at Government Girls Postgraduate College Quetta Cantt on 13th August 2025. The event was organized under the esteemed supervision of Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi and Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Humera Sadozai, with the collaborative efforts of the
Prof Nayar Iqbal, Prof Rabia Abdullah, Ms Saima Nagi and Ms Anum Sherazi along with

The celebration was a vibrant display of patriotism, featuring melodious national songs that stirred emotions, passionate speeches that reminded the audience of the sacrifices behind independence, mesmerizing tableaus portraying Pakistan’s historical journey, and captivating cultural dance performances that highlighted the nation’s unity in diversity.

Vice Principal Prof. Dr. Humera Sadozai addressed the gathering, urging students to express gratitude to the Almighty for the blessing of freedom and to uphold the responsibilities that come with it.

Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi delivered a thought-provoking speech on the profound significance of Independence Day, emphasizing that the foundational slogan of Pakistan,
La Ilaha Illallah” (لا إله إلا الله), should transcend beyond mere words and reflect in the nation’s actions and purpose. She led the youth in taking a solemn oath to strive for a prosperous and progressive Pakistan.

The event served as a powerful reminder that regardless of cultural, religious, or ethnic differences, every Pakistani shares an unbreakable bond of love for their homeland. The Principal, faculty members and students reiterated that being born as a Pakistani is a divine blessing, and it is our collective duty to uphold the values of unity, faith, and discipline as envisioned by Quaid-e-Azam.

The celebration concluded on a high note, with Principal Prof. Sadia Farooqi commended the efforts of the organizers, participants, and students for making the event a resounding success.
